Our settlers distilled excess grain after harvests and added in native berries for flavor.
Nothing brings back memories of West Virginia more than fresh, ripe, mountain blackberries - After the success of our Mountain Blackberry Preserves, and Mountain Blackberry Wine - we couldn’t help ourselves but to continue tradition and introduce the newest addition to the family in celebration of our 25th Anniversary in business. Our Mountain Blackberry Bourbon Whiskey. Unbelievably unique - a true bourbon aged 4 years in new charred-oak barrels. Fused with a rush of natural ripe blackberry extract
We use a custom 80% Corn, 20% Rye mash bill that gives the Bourbon a nice spicy kick that complements the sweetness of the corn, without the full-on peppery zing of a true rye. Using a true Bourbon as the base, we add in real blackberry extract that completely brings it to life. This flavored bourbon mixes incredibly well. The number of cocktails that you can create out of it are beyond imaginable.

Our unique twist on the original ‘Monongahela Rye Tradition’ whiskey - Our perfect blend of 80% Rye and 20% Malted Rye mash perfectly aged an entire 4 years completely in wine barrels for a uniquely sophisticated 100% rye mash whiskey that stands up to any mixer and boosts any cocktail’s confidence.
Updated to modern methods, along with aging in wine barrels allows the essence of the wine notes to compliment and harmonize with the spiciness of the full rye. Giving this one-of-a-kind intensely smooth whiskey a beautifully complex, robust structure.
